Hallmarking
We hallmark our products here at Gail Louise jewellery using the Birmingham Assay Office.
We have our sponsor stamp which is GLC and is only visible using a 10x eye loop. We then have the Birmingham mark after this. These marks are applied once the item has been assayed to determine that its purity conforms to standards set down by the law.

All silver jewellery weighing more than 7.78grams must be hallmarked
All gold jewellery weighing more than 1gram must be hallmarked
All gold jewellery weighing more than 1gram must be hallmarked
Anything under these weights may be described as silver or gold but without the need for a hallmark .
